I like all kinds of bands, but there's nothing like being one of like, four fans of some local band and then becoming friends with them. So, local music is my favorite, and being from Chicago, local Chicago bands are my all-time favorites. I on-and-off run a blog similar to Windy City Rock called Windy City Sound and front a band called The Shakedown. I've met and played with dozens of Chicago bands since I started playing music, and it seems like there are still hundreds more to discover. I also enjoy writing fiction, and study it at Columbia College.
