A few Chicago music news bites

  • Chicago's California Wives are releasing their full-length album Art History on September 4th, and are offering a full stream of the album early via SoundCloud. Take a listen here and check out their CD release show September 12th at Lincoln Hall.
  • Liturgy recently stopped by the A.V. Club's Chicago headquarters and performed a cover of Shellac's "Prayer to God" as part of the A.V.'s "Undercover" series. See/hear it here.
  • My My My will be filming a new music video in Chicago on Thursday, September 6th and are looking for extras to appear in a concert scene. Shoot a note to them here if you're interested, and catch them live tonight at Metro.
  • The second annual Cultivate Chicago festival is coming up on Saturday, September 15th in Lincoln Park, and will feature a music lineup consisting of G. Love & Special Sauce, Allen Stone, JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound and more. Check out more information on the festival here.
