A few Chicago music news bites

  • Summer's pushing on and the festivals keep coming. On August 25th and 26th, you can see the likes of Stephen Paul Smoker, Bloodiest, AM Taxi and Oh My God perform at the South Loop's Bash on Wabash. You can check out the full music lineup plus additional fest details here.
  • Gapers Block published a review and photos from Tuesday night's Garbage show at Metro.
  • Chicago Mixtape ran an interview with Chicago's own Pink Frost, formerly Apteka. Check it out here.
  • Bloodshot Records announced an 18th birthday celebration, which will take place on September 22nd at Mayne Stage with an artist showcase featuring Lydia Loveless, Jon Langford & Skull Orchard, Dex Romweber Duo, Deadstring Brothers, and Shake ‘Em On Down (including Rick Sherry and Joel Patterson of Devil in a Woodpile).
