A few Chicago music news bites

  • The Late Live Show, Second City's late night comedy talk show that includes musical acts, is about to return for a new season. The bands scheduled so far include: Pet Lions (July 16), The Part Five (July 23), Mazes (July 30), Paul Dempsey (August 6), Rockfalls (August 13), Tyler Jon Tyler (August 20).
  • Sony is running a contest that will award one lucky winner a free trip to Lollapalooza, including two VIP passes and a Bloggie Touch HD camera. Enter by writing why you want to go to the fest on Sony's Facebook page.
  • Chicago-based indie pop quintet Gold Motel will soon release a new single titled "Leave You in Love." It comes out digitally on August 2nd, just in time for the band's Lollapalooza set on August 7th (they will play at Metro's Lolla aftershow on August 3rd).
  • Save the Clocktower let us know about a dancey new remix of the track "Drip" from their most recent album Carousel. It was done by Madison, WI-based DJ Wyatt Agard and is available to stream here.
  • Chicago indie rock duo Pinto and the Bean have a new video for their track "The Waiting Place," which you can watch here. Keep an eye out for their debut album of the same name coming in August.
