- Conor Oberst & the Mystic Valley Band with All Smiles at The Vic - Check out the Bright Eyes front man on the second night of his two performances at The Vic. 6:30 p.m., $24. More info and tickets.
- Bitch & the Exciting Conclusion, Girl in a Coma, Von Iva and Mr. Russia at Bottom Lounge - A musical poet who "uses an electric violin to rock," a band fronted by "the female version of Morrissey," Afro-beat from San Francisco and "The bastard offspring of Iggy Pop and The White Stripes," respectively.
